About us

A bridge between where you are and where you're going

Redcliffe Pathway Institute exists for one reason: to prepare international students to succeed once they reach a UK degree program, not just to help them arrive.

Based in central London, we work with students who need a structured route into UK higher education, whether that's building academic English to the right level, adjusting to UK-style assessment and study methods, or filling a specific qualification gap before applying to a degree course.

Our pathway and language programs are designed to run together where needed, so a student building their English can be working toward academic requirements at the same time, not treating the two as separate stages.

Teaching staff work in small groups so that progress is tracked individually rather than at the pace of the class average.

Built for progression

Every pathway course is mapped against real UK degree entry requirements, not generic study skills.

English and academics together

Language support runs alongside academic pathway content rather than as a separate track.

Individual progress tracking

Regular one to one review sessions so gaps get addressed as they appear, not at the end of term.

Pathway Courses

Three routes into UK degree study

Choose the pathway that matches where you are now, whether that's finishing school, holding a qualification that needs a bridge, or preparing for postgraduate entry.

Undergraduate entry

Foundation Pathway Certificate

● 1 year, full-time ● 3 intakes per year

A one year program that bridges secondary school study and UK undergraduate entry requirements, combining academic subject modules with structured English support.

  • Core modules in academic English, study skills and subject foundations
  • Choice of academic strand: Business, Law, or Computing foundations
  • Progresses into year one of a bachelor's degree on successful completion
Undergraduate advanced entry

International Year One

● 1 year, full-time ● September & January intake

For students who already hold qualifications equivalent to UK Year 12/13 and want to enter directly into the first year of a degree program with additional academic support built in.

  • Degree-level modules combined with academic English and study support
  • Smaller class sizes than standard first year cohorts
  • Progresses into year two of a bachelor's degree on successful completion
Postgraduate entry

Pre-Masters Pathway

● 1 term or 2 terms ● Flexible start dates

A short, intensive pathway for graduates who need to bridge academic English and postgraduate-level study skills before starting a master's program.

  • Focus on academic writing, research methods and seminar participation
  • Study strand aligned to Business, Management or Law postgraduate entry
  • Progresses into a master's program on successful completion
How progression works: each pathway course is assessed against the entry requirements for the next stage of study. Students who meet the required grade progress directly, without reapplying from scratch or repeating content already covered.
